This Hummer is on consignment at my work and needed just a quick cleanup before it went out on the lot. There were no real imperfections, so the process was very simple. This Hummer has to be one of the biggest PIA to detail, but luckily it was in great shape.

My Process:

Washed, cleaned wheels & tires

Polished complete exterior with Optimum Poli-Seal using foam finishing pad

Hand application of Zaino AIO to black front & rear bumpers and front brush guard

Aquawax wipedown

Super Blue dressing on tires and wheel wells

That`s it!!!

Here are the pictures... (the color looks different in some of the pics??)

What is consignment?

Consignment is the act of consigning, which is placing a person or thing in the hand of another, but retaining ownership until the goods are sold or person is transferred. This may be done for shipping, transfer of prisoners, or for sale in a store (i.e. a consignment shop). In the context of sale, it is usually understood that the consignee (the consignment seller or the party to which goods are sent) pays the consignor (the person with items to sell or the party by which the goods are consigned) only after the sale, from its proceeds.

Looks Good. I am dreading doing my friends jeep for many of the same reasons that made the hummer a pita.

Great work Rick. Out of all of the cars that I "want" to detail a Hummer is not one of them. You sure make it look easy.

Nice work as always, Rick. :)

I used Poli-Seal on a red H2, really happy with how it turned out too.

Very nice work. The CTIS system on those is so cool.

Just looking at it you can tell what a major PITA it was, but of course you made the finish really nice.

Thanks everyone.

I`m definitely not looking forward to cleaning another one any time in the near future!

Good luck on your friends Jeep! I think they are equally as hard because they have even smaller panels, so it`s tough to get into the tight spots with the buffer. Have fun!

Thanks! I`ll have to take some pictures and make a C&B thread. I`ve already wetsanded numerous scratches out of it. (He keeps hitting things off road :p )

Do you know where the hummer was from previously where it wouldn`t sell? I can only assume that you hope it sells before you have to clean it again. :lol

Good job Rick, but isn`t it "unnatural" for a Hummer to be that clean?
