Is it possible for dirty pads for my PC to leave holograms on the surface? When I say dirty I mean dry polish from previous detailing jobs that were not cleaned.

I dont care what anyone says, a PC cannot leave holograms.
Dirty how? Dirty like they fell on the floor dirty? Or dirty like they are loaded with old product dirty?

For sure old pads with caked on product can leave marring with a PC.
I`m not going to get into an argument of whether it is holograms or called something else.

I agree. I might have used the wrong word to describe them. Thanks for the responses. I have since cleaned them by rinsing them with water then rung the water out.

What are holograms? Anyone have a picture for reference? I know what swirl marks or spiderwebs look like. Didn`t know there were other defects out there too.

Buffer trails, usually visible in direct sunlight and usually left by agressive pads/compounds via rotary.
