Hey, I`m Eric. I`m 18 years old, and so far, I`ve had four cars within two and a half years of my having a drivers liscense..I must say I`m not really as knowledgable as I could and should be when it comes to car detailing, but I do know alot of the basic stuff, and even some stuff like claying, waxing, but the way I see it, you can always learn something new, no matter the task at hand.. so, I figured I`d sign up here. My previous, and current vehicles are as follows.

Status: Currently loving every minute of ownership, driving it is a dream, best car I`ve owned next to the bonneville.. I`m going to keep this one for a long time.

As of yet, the bumper in the front was replaced, due to previous owner`s neglectful parking habits.. They smashed/cracked the bumper cover below and around the right side foglamp, and shattered the foglamps` lense.. So I ordered a new pair of fogs.. Found out they bolted , yes BOLTED the broken one into the bumper. Soo.. I go about a month later to order a new front bumper cover.. And then two days later, I back into a pole, right? Hit the rear cover just right as to fold the rear right fender in literally like a piece of paper(think science class when they explained tectonic plates with paper.. how it just folds/crumbles over, that`s how my metal looked). Bumper came in the mail two days after dropping it off at the body shop, so I asked since they had the paint mixture already made if they`d consider prime/painting/clearing/installing the new bumper and fogs. Done. Next day, went out to an impala meet.. Only problem with that new bumper cover? It was an aftermarket front cover I ordered, and I didn`t know trim wasn`t molded in like it was in the car`s original. Got it back from the body shop and the next morning, I was up 75 miles north at an Impala meet.

Here`s a few more recent shots of the car from within the last two months, some before and after the body work.

anyhow, I figure that`s enough to describe my ride, I figure you guys can learn more about me through my posts, lmao

Anyhow, I look forward to talking with all of you, and learning many new tips/tricks from enthusiats, and pros alike on how to keep my car looking it`s absolute best. I see it as always room for improvement, although I`m pretty good about it already.

My basic wash method is: soak car, in shade if time of day is right, clean wheels, clean tire sidewalls, wipe fenderwells with simple green and a towel, rinse out that area, wash from top to bottom (past month has been with dish soap, due to recent body work.. at the end of this month, I`m getting wax on her! pull into garage and dry, and wipe out doorjambs each wash, so i`m pretty thorough as of yet, but I more than likely haven`t learned all there is! Anyhow, I`ll stop writing this boring "book"

Thanks for having a forum like this! I`ve lurked for a few months. Decided it was time.
