So which one for correction. To be used with 6.5 pads or 4 inch pads. Do not have rotary and looking for something with much more cut than OC with yellow or orange cutting pad!

I do not have OHC, just OC. I want a step up and deciding between HTEC and OHC. This is to be used via PC 6.5/4 pads. I ran into a correction detail that I could get OC to take any swirling out (Kia paint is Hard!)

hcl is just fine via pc, as a matter of fact a friend had my rotary yesterday so i was stuck with a pc for 8 damn hours polishing this truck. hcl and an orange pad has serious correction ability to those who are patient.

I`ve never heard anything bad about the HiTemp line of compounds and polishes, and they are seriously cheap compared to everything else!

It takes time but they do work well. Much better by the rotary though!

Iv never really heard anything bad about HT. I know 01BlueCLS uses it regularly and he is one of the top pros on here in my opinion...by rotary though...

No experience with HT-HC with the PC, but it works very well with the other orbitals I use (UDM, Cyclo).

Both work fine via PC with 4" pads. IMO you might as well get the EC as the added cut will probably be appreciated and both require a follow up with milder stuff anyhow.

I use EC/HC on most details where I need heavy correction. Via PC I actually prefer HC because it is easier to work (EC takes forever to break down properly), and leaves less hazing; but of course the cut is less. HC has a lot more cut than OC imo; similar to OHC. EC has more than both.

As for what is bad about them - they bog down pads very easily, and they rarely finish down clean enough to go to LSP, but that is to be expected with heavy cutting compounds. Remember to swap pads a lot.

I`m leaning towards ordering HTEC as I already have OC and worried that OHC is not much stronger. I did order 4 inch spot pads to be used via pc. I ran into swirls on a new KIA that I could not touch. That clear coat was the toughest I`ve encountered. Usually IP, OC and/or SSR 2.5 with a orange LC pad takes care of swirl corrections for me during details.

Is HTEC much stronger via PC than OHC? I don`t want to waste money trying to buy something barely a step up from products I already have. I currently have IP, OC and/or SSR 2.5 for swirl removal. What is much stronger via PC?
