Both of my brother`s have cars set up for drag racing. Occasionally we`ll do car shows together and they help me wrench on my car pretty much whenever I ask them to. Yay no labor charges. So I`m going to return the favor by cleaning up their race cars. What`s the best way to get rubber off of the rear quarter panels? I did a little bit of searching, but couldn`t find an answer. Now, with my luck I`ll have more of their racing buddies asking for detail work, but it`s going to cost them.
Here`s what they race:

The Nova actually beat my car in a car show we did together. :2thumbs:

I would also like to know the answer to this. I have a car that had a tire blow out and the rubber shredded/melted and adhered to the rear quarter.
I have a feeling that claying might do it...but you might be going through a lot of clay. Maybe some sort of solvent cleaner and a re-wax of the area would work out better.

What I have done in the past was either use -
blue painters tape or
fresh wax on that area or
spray pam no stick and wipe off when done

OH my car looks great. It`s just these guys with a crapton of HP and little regard for how the rubber looks when it comes time to do a show together.
The old CC and WD-40 sounds like it will work great.

I have had good results with using Stoners Tarminator. I`m sure a good quality bug and tar remover could make quick work of it. Or you could get some Body Solvent from a local Auto Paint Supply store.

I second tarminator. It eats right thru it.

Put on with sponge. Just hose off.
I put the Overspray Guard on the areas I want to protect with a sponge. Just wash burnt rubber off. You can buy it in the gallon size if you call them. Works great.
