I found PlastX from meguiars, a clear plastic cleaner/polish. I was wondering if anyone thought this might be safe to use on the tailights as well, even though theyre red? Or is there a better plastic cleaner/polish out there to use on my headlights and tailights?

It`s safe to use on taillights! Almost any plastic!! Good luck!

Yup, it`ll be fine!

Just be aware that it isn`t a wipe on wipe off product. You`ll have to put some elbow grease behind it and might need more than one application depending on the condition of the plastic. Use a terry cloth towel or applicator and you should be good to go.

Never even thought about the application! I use some 3" pads from a company called "Buff Shine" that attach to my drill. They are perfect! There`s one yellow for correction, one black for finer polishing and a sheepskin for product removal. Pretty kewl little kit!!

I`ve got an old beat up white LC pad that I use on my rotary with PlastX... it does a great job, I like to run at a slightly higher RPM than I do on paint (1800) for tails.

Plast-X works excellent on tails too. I use an old 4 inch white LC pad like timmah said, this is what it did on GMC tails
