Hi All,

First I just wanted to thank the autopian community!

I`ve been lurking for a while and just reading on techniques and products - I finally found some time to give it a go.

I started around 9:30 am and ended around 7:30pm - including a lunch break.

Process:

ONR wash (the Texas sun is just killer even at 9am in the morning!)

Clay with clay magic

ONR wash

Optimum Polish via white LC pad (PC)

Duragloss 652 cleaner via white LC pad (not sure if this was a good idea but seemed to work)

Duragloss 601/105 combo

Removed combo with AquaWax

Lessons learned:

- The porter cable gets hot :>

- The porter cable vibrates a lot

- I splattered some polish onto the windows

- Missed a few spots - but okay for a 1st timer

Results:

I`m open to any comments / suggestions

more pictures in the future will help people evaluate your work, seeing what it looks like before and after is big. also remember to take pictures under some nice halogen lights, the imperfections will really pop out at you.

that aside, not bad for the first time. im not into paint restoration just interiors, but i had a site member, Coupe, work my paint this weekend (thread should be up today) and picked up a few things. since one thing you didn`t like was polish getting on the windows, one thing i learned from him was to put towels or some other cloth under the edge of the hood or trunk and covering the lower half of the window..problem solved. :)
