I`ve really had no experience with detailing, because I`ve never owned a car that was worth more than just the typical wash and wax, so excuse the ignorance. I just bought a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander and really want to take care of the interior and exterior of the car. I ordered several Duragloss products including the 101, the 105 and 601.
I know that several of you own the PC or some other rotary/dual action polisher. While I`m not interested in buying more tools, I am a woodworker and own a nice Ridgid 5" random orbit sander with a hook and loop pad. Could I possibly use this to apply the DG products? I`m not looking to do any paint correction yet (since it is new), just wanting to use something that may be faster and more efficient than the hand. What type of pads would I need for something like this? Any tips and hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
