I have never heard of anyone hear doing so. It obviously would not hurt but seem a little redundant and a waste of time. The only reason I ask is because it is highly recommended by Home (http://www.thedetailinghandbook.com) to wash after claying/before polishing -or- if you are not going to polish, after claying before applying LSP. Again, it wouldn`t hurt to do so, I am just not sure if it is necessary.

I rarely wash.. Very rarely. I`ll either just keep the hose near me and rinse while its still wet after each panel, or do the whole car and just wipe each panel with a qd before I polish.. No need in gumming up pads with leftover contamination.
