Well i figured that i would give some of my new products a try tonight. The test vehicle was my beater Jeep. I have taken it off road many times and the paint has gotten pretty scratched up. Tonight was the first time i really used a rotary and the first time i have used a wool pad. To me the wool seemed quite a bit easier to use then the foam pads. i had a hard time keeping the foam pads under control. They wanted to jump around a lot. Next time i think i will use my pc to do the foam pad work. All in all i am very happy with how the door came out.

Process:

3M Perfect-it 3000 rubbing compound 06062 X3 ----- First time using it.

Menzerna 106f polish X1 ------ First time using it.

Meguiars NXT X1 ----------- Love it, definitely not the first time using it.

Here are some pictures...

Questions.... Do all wool pads fling wool everywhere? not a little wool, a lot? Should i use the same pads with the same product on my PC as i would use on my Dewalt? After wool, the PC should be able to take care of it from there? Thanks for taking the time to read my post and even more thanks if you respond to it. Thanks, Justin.

Yes all wool will shed, it will get better as the pad breaks in. Before you use the pad, rotory on lowest speed, dip you hand it some water and place you hand on the moving pad. This will remove some of the excess wool.

Same pad from rotary to PC is fine.

Nice work on the jeep.
