Hey Guys,
I`ve been using a quick detail spray for about a year now, and the short-term results are great but I`ve noticed that it appears to be "drying" out my paint. I`ve also read that some detail sprays can do that, for whatever reason.
Can someone recommend a GOOD quick detail product? I want it to do two things: 1) remove dust with MF towel for a quick water-free cleaning/wash; and 2) make it shiney!
Any suggestions?

There are a lot of really good detail sprays out there. I don`t really have a favorite, but I can give you a tip on using them. If you are experiencing hazing or streaking, try spraying the towel, and not the car. This helps me a lot during hot days like we`ve been having lately.
normstar, what brand of qd are you using if you don`t mind me asking? If it`s drying out your paint, then don`t use it. I for one have never experienced, nor heard of this. I`m not doubting you though.
If you do a search here you`ll find a lot of topics about quick detailing sprays. Like jdookie said, there are a lot of good products out there, almost too many to mention. You have clearkote, four star, meguiars, pinnacle, 3m, wolfgang, eagle one, duragloss, finish kare, etc....... I personally use wizards mist n shine. It`s an excellent qd/gloss enhancer.

My favorites are QuikShine (http://store.danase.com/clqush1.html) and Spray & Gloss (http://www.poorboysworld.com/spray-gloss.htm). If there is much to be cleaned off I use Spray & Wipe (http://www.poorboysworld.com/spray-wipe.htm) or do a quick ONR (http://store.danase.com/opnowaandsh.html) wash first.

This happens when the surface temp. is too high, and is quite common this time of year. I am dealing with this in a bad way right now. I don`t have a garage to detail in, only outside, so if I can`t get it done first thing in the morning or last thing in the evening, it just doesn`t happen.
Like I mentioned, if you are experiencing this, just spray the product on the towel instead of directly on the paint.

Understood.
My favourites are Aussie Gold Showroom Glaze, Prima Slick and Quikshine
You can machine apply aussie and QS for more lustre and also use on windows and wheels
Aussie`s got sealant in it which will last many months but if your a wax man, go with QS
