Hi everyone. I want start off by saying that i have learned a lot more about detailing cars on this site than i ever thought there was to learn. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to post on here and teach people like myself. I have been detailing my own car and friends cars for about 5 years now. I am 23 years old and love working on cars. Right now i am working for a close friend that purchased three quick lubes and three car washes. The lubes and car washes are in the same lots with one site being attached. Where i live at there are not very many detail shops. There is one full detail shop that has a full garage they work out of. There is on guy who pops up a tent and details on a vacant lot. Then there is a body shop that is also doing details. They are all booked up for at least a week. They are all expensive and none of them do very good work. But those are the only choices for people that live around here. If you want to drive over an hour one way then you can go to a bigger city with more choices and a little better work and that is what a lot of people are doing.
Here are my questions. My friend who owns the lubes and washes says that if i continue to work at the lube he will pay for all of the products needed and pay for all the advertising. He wants $25.00 from each detail though. That amount is not set in stone yet of course because i haven`t even started the detailing. I am having cards and flyer`s made now. I will do the detailing after work which at the latest is 5:30pm and on Saturdays all day. I can use the shop to do the detailing in after the shop closes. I will do anything from a quick wax to full on restoration. I will charge between $125 for a quick wax to $250+ for a full on detail. Does this sound like a good starting point for me? How much should i give him for each detail? If all goes well and there is enough business he said that we could build a separate shop next to the lube so that i could have my own shop but who knows. I will be doing everything from setting up the appointments to doing the details to doing the paperwork. I will be using the name of the current business so i will be under his insurance. Does it sound like a good deal. Sorry for the long post but i just thought that this would be the place to ask. Here are the products i have to start with.

Tools i will be using. I`m good with the PC but i have only used the rotary on a couple friends cars to practice. I went well but it does take more concentration.

Does this seem like a good starting point? I will do most of the details with the PC because i am not experienced enough on the rotary just yet. But i have had really good results with the PC. Here is a pic of my car...
