Can`t do anything about the burn now but I thought toyota paint was soft?

The etching is still here and I dont see micro marring. Any surggestions?

What should I do about the etching?

4" pads can be quite dangerous on the PC.

If it where me i would wetsand with 3000 grit and buff it out. But i dont recomend wetsanding to someone who has no experiance with it.

It`s already screwed up, so I would say it`s a perfect panel to learn on...

Might as well use it as a test panel now.

Just let it soak for a while... Some people say over night, others say for a few hours. I put a drop or 2 of soap in the water and let it soak for a while, but not hours. You can try the 83 on the sand scratches. I`ve only used 83 once, so I can`t remember how well it cuts.

I do not agree. The area is small and probably wont ever be noticed. If he trys to learn to wetsand he could make a small unoticable area a big noticable area.

If he`s only wet sanding with 3000 grit and it`s already in that bad of shape, he shouldn`t have any trouble.
