I need to detail my brothers car before he takes it out to college. What wax/wax combo should I use that will last the longest for protection?

here`s my choices right now:

meg`s cleaner wax, klasse aio, optimum poliseal, and jeffs werkstatt acrylic jett.

I was thinking of putting down a base coat of aio followed by a few layers of acrylic jett.

that would work well... the poliseal + AJ should work as well...

If you are looking for something that lasts longer I`d give Collinite 845 or 476 a try. If you want OTC products go with Duragloss 601 + 105.

AJ should last longer than most waxes

That`s all you need!:2thumbs:

Meguiars cleaner wax is not an autual wax. As far as their carnuba waxes, they seem to last a couple months at best.

I would go Poli-seal + 845.....but that`s just my opinion. Go with what you have already.

Yeah, I`d go with Collinite, with 476 being the most durable.

Collinite is often available locally. I can find it here in the boonies of PA.

If not, and if time is tight (Oh, an old Booker T`s and the MG`s song), then I side with stiffdog.
