I picked up a GMC (11 amp) polisher/sander from lowes and it came with a carrying case and about 4 different pads. I picked it up for around $70.

My question is has anyone used this and what do you think of it?
I was thinking of taking it back for the PC (3.7 amp) which is $100 without pads.

Get the PC. I looked at the GMC brand last time I was at Lowes and it looks too cheap and does not feel good to me.

Are you talking about a random orbit machine or a rotary?

Na its a regular rotary. I used it and it did what it was supposed to, but I am looking at it from a durability point of view.

Also the damn thing was heavy.

If you`re wanting to swap it for the PC (7336 I assume) just be aware that they are two completely different types of machines.

is that the one with the plastic handles on each side of the rotating pad? i didnt like them coz they arnt variable speed, and ur limited to the type and quality of the pads u can use. get something with variable to say 2000rpm speeds for high speed buffing, gets rid of any swirls if u can handle the buff at that speed, look at a 12in grinder style buff.
