Im curious...can you carry legally where you live and if so what do you carry? Better yet, it may be in poor taste if you cannot carry legally what do you carry anyways.

Im legal to carry in Minnesota, where I reside. I carry a Glock 32c. How about you?

GA has pretty strict CCW laws. It`s almost not worth it to keep one on you because you`re so limited to where you can take it. I`m not a huge fan of leaving them in the car. I dont thin you can do much better than a glock for a carry weapon. Interesting, you got the compensated model....I havent shot a compensated glock.

Florida is pretty fair about it... I plan on getting my permit when I turn 21 in 3 months. Not sure what I`m going to carry yet.

If you find the dps (department of public safety) sebsit for your state you can get all the facts straight from the office that issues permits

Ohio issues CCW permits, but as with Way2SSlow, virtually every place where we`d want to be armed has a "No Concealed Weapons" policy so we haven`t bothered getting certified...at least not yet.

If we did get permits, we`d be hauling around Colt Govt. models or S&W wheelguns.

Unsolicited opinion: Anybody considering a permit oughta get some good training, and I don`t mean a weekend course or two. While I`m all in favor of CCW permits, I`ll admit I worry about some [dummy] making a mistake.

Glock G27 in .40 here. Really starting to like the Kel-Tec P3AT. I`m a musician so I`m loading out gear at 3am in back alleys and guess one of the places that the great state of TN deems off-limits for ccw. Yep, clubs & bars. :( I don`t drink when I work so that one grates a bit. State & fed parks is another. Out in the middle of BFE naked `cause we`ve been stripped of protection. "Sir, ya gotta get some clothes on." ;) Good thing the crooks & bears read the signs... Right.

Michigan has an open carry law. I have NEVER saw anyone walking down the street carrying a gun though. The open carry law says that you can legally carry a gun in the open. The minute you put your shirt or jacket or whatever over it it is concealed and you had better have a CCW to be legal. Also when you get into your vehicle it is considered concealed and without a CCW you have to follow the rules for having a gun in your vehicle (gun and ammo seperate...ammo in glove box and gun in trunk is the safest bet.) I have a CCW though. The best part about the CCW, besides being able to protect yourself, God forbid you will ever need to, is that I can walk into a store and walk out with a gun without getting a permit to purchase first.

As far as what I have, right now I have a CZ 83. I`m really leaning toward a HK, CZ Rami or Ruger revolver for my next purchase though.

I know that I am going to catch flack for this but even here in MN when there are signs up that say no weapons I still carry.

If you are caught the establishment (minus schools, govt blds, place like that) all they can do is ask you to leave. If you refuse to leave they can call the police and they will come out escort you off the property and give you a $25 petty misdemeanor ticket. Get caught in govt bld, school or something like that and your butt is getting arrested.

My life and my wifes is worth the $25 ticket.

Sorry if I upset some with this statement.

I have never noticed a sign in my area that says not to carry in the building. I make it a point not to even look for them. LOL I know where I can legally and illegally carry and that is all I need to know.

Washington state here and I carry a Glock 19 and have a concealed permit. It`s legal to open carry without a permit but to have a gun concealed or in a vehicle you need the permit.

Its interesting that states will allow you to carry open without a permit. I never would have thought such a thing
