Apply to applicator, work into the paint, wipe off.

Be sure to do small areas at a time. Don`t *apply* to the whole car and then come back and remove it. You are actually wanting to *work* the polish in like you would when polishing shoes, and then buff off the residue and move on to the next spot.

ok thanks that was another thing I was wondering. I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima about how much would you polish before you buff it off? Probably like a panel, door, trunk, roof, and so on?

Not even that much, 2ftx2ft.

When you say waxing, do you mean actually applying carnauba wax?

What`s the harm of applying VM to the whole vehicle as long as you work it in? I`ve used it on my entire Suburban and didn`t have any problems removing it when done.

I`ve done it that way too and didn`t have any problems. It wasn`t in direct sunlight so maybe that made it easier.

yes, is that a bad idea?

For applying most waxes (not synthetics/sealants), I would recommend applying, letting haze and then removing. For me, in most conditions, that equates to applying to a few panels at a time and then going back and removing the hazed product.

There are a lot of different methods of waxing/LSPing and what works for you is usually what you oughta do.

With the LSPs I use, I apply to the whole vehicle before I buff off the residue (even with Souveran).

With VM, IIRC they used to say "goes on wet, comes off wet"; in other words, no need to let it haze over. (If I`m mistaken about this somebody please correct me.)
