Most bling tire coating legal in Ca?

hey guys, I`ve consistently heard that the grape dressing is super bling as far as shine factor, but it (and some other products) are not legal here in California. I`m curious what you Ca. detailers use to bring out a bright shine in your tires?

AFAIK, the new TOL Grape is now VOC compliant. i.e. available in all 50. Grape is not all that "bling" though with one coat, two or three, its a different story. I am not a fan of "bling" dressings, but megs endurance comes to mind as well as Duragloss Wet Look Tire Shine.

I`m not a fan of bling shine on tires, but I have to admit that I prefer Duragloss` Wet Look Tire Shine over their TMD (Tire & Matte) dressing.



It is not the shiniest I`ve seen, but it`s shiny enough for me giving that wet appearance without giving a grimey, greasy appearance like some of the cheaper, wet shine type tire dressings. I also find it to be the most durable dressing I own.



It`s pricey though at almost $10 a bottle. I`d like to find a similar product that costs significantly less. I`ve thought about some of CG`s products but their product line up is too vast and confusing and some of their products have disappointed me in the past, so I`d hate to get a gallon and not like it.

Hands down "Looks wet, no mess" is the best stuff I have ever used on tires. I found it at the auto show last year in Chicago and was blown away. After you`ve had it on for a good week or two, all you have to do is take a clean cloth and give the tires a wipe and the shine comes right back. If your tires are really clean it will probably take a couple coats for it to set in but it`s so worth it because it`s super shiny. If you want to dull it down a bit, just do one coat. It`s not greasy to the touch and there is no sling off onto your car. An application will easily last me over 2 weeks regardless of weather conditions. If you can`t tell, I really like this stuff.

I like the "No Touch" in the purple can, and Four Star Tire Gel.......Both provide outstanding wetness, no sling and last a few weeks.

Griots Garage`s Long Lasting tire dressing is very glossy and it will stay that way even thru rain. Personally, I prefer the clean, matt statin finish. But if you like lots of bling on your tires, I recommend you try the Griots Long Lasting tire dressing.

CG Liquid Extreme Shine - it`s a great trim dressing too.

Meg`s Insane shine is pretty wet looking as is their Endurance High Gloss. I applied Hot Shine High Gloss on these and they were pretty shiny too.

Eh, I just bought E1 Tire Detailer because it has an attached applicator, and I always hate handling those dirty foam applicators. Also got armoral wheel cleaner try out versus Mothers FX, will post reviews of both products :)

Lords tire fusion permanent tire shine and I had done a monaco blue bmw weeks ago and the application was 5 months old and still VERY glossy. It`s a true high gloss rubber professional aircraft coating.

it looks wet but is dry does not fling

lot of work but worth the payoff

only use if you like the glossy look

never tried to get it off

mask wheels off

prep tire,

apply two coats of tire shield

lasts up to 6 months

megs hyper dressing 1:1 is very nice for water based.
