All the posts I see regarding DG #105 seem to be glowing endorsements. I am really anxious to try this product. Have any of you used it and been unimpressed? Seems like a winner on all counts from what I`ve seen. My local carquests don`t have it in stock and I will likely have to order online...

I used DG 105 a couple of times. It`s a great sealant. You should try it. You won`t be disappointed with it at all. It`s very glossy & slick. And it`s quite durable too. You will love it. :)

I have yet to find fault with 105. I`ve used everything under the sun at some point in my life (carnaubas and sealants) and 105 just does everything I need and nothing I don`t, at a more than reasonable price point. I mean, it`s glossy, slick, lasts a long time (5-6 mos), protects very well, sheds water/grime like a duck, and is easy as pie to use. Combine it with AW and I honestly don`t know how you could do any better for the cost. I get more protection and gloss from 1 bottle of 105, plus 1 bottle of AW, both for less than the cost of 1 bottle of Zaino (which I think offers similar protection/shine characteristics and I used to be a big fan of a while back). It`s a win-win for me!

Regards,

Mike

DG 101/105/601/951/901 are all great no frills products that go on/off easily, do exactly as advertised and are priced right.

What more could you ask for??

what is the difference between 111 and 105? Does one clean and seal and the other just seal? Machine or hand application for one or the other or both? How is the look? I have a black car and hate most plastiky looking sealants. Nothing beats FK1`s pink wax over glaze for me, but I do love trying new things.

I hate to do it to you but do a search on this board and you`ll see all kinds of threads (with a few disagreements) discussing the differences.

This is what a couple coats of 111 and some AW did to my paint!:

(those little spots are water, it just started to sprinkle.)

I was blown away by the results of 105, especially for about $10.

I am going to say something a little different. LISTEN, ON MY CAR 105 did create a very reflective, glossy finish. But that is not what I like. I like a deep, wet shine that a good nuba can give. Now if I would have tried topping the 105 with a nuba, things may have been different. Everyone is different thank goodness..... Regards

Been to my local car quest stores and all their DG products are looking very old and broken boxes, it seems to me that they have been sitting on the shelf`s for many yrs and not moving at all, also some were leaking for a long time and the shelf`s show it too. I ask if they would order some new DG for me and the answer i got was no.

sorry to hear that. The guys at my local carquest are friendly and quick to order. I can usually stop in on my way to work, order and pick it up on my way home or the longest I had to wait was the next day. I think the one parts counter guy started using AW and 901 since I have started requesting it so much.

Funny thing is, I used to go to carquest to get megs stuff (they have final inspection by the gallon and vinyl & rubber) and never noticed the Duragloss stuff.

You wold think that DG would do a better job marketing their products.

I tried most of their products and have yet to fina a fault with ant of them with the exception of their odor eleminator. I just didn`t like the way it sprayed.

I wasn`t overly impressed with 105. Application/removal was fine, but the look and durability didn`t go as long as I thought it would.
