4,500 for me.... I always used M1 but have since shifted to MC sytn blend based on bitog thread`s.

I went with 5000 but I often go higher than that on the Mustang. I have my used engine oil analyzed and have gotten very good results with Mobil1 up to 7500. Based on the analysis I could have gone much further but 7500 is what I feel comfortable with on the Mustang so I generally stick to 5000-7500 mile intervals and it has worked out well. The Mustang is about to turn 94K on the odometer and I am the only one who has ever been under the hood...

Here is one of my recent oil analysis of Mobil1 after ~6500 miles.

I have used both Penzoil and Penzoil High Mileage Conventional with no trouble for about 6 years now. I would love to switch to Mobile 1 but just can`t afford it. However, if I ever got a car with any high performance engine I would definitely switch over.

Anyway, mine gets changed every 4,000.

Funny choices. If this were on BITOG, the choices would have been: 3000, 5000, 10000, 15000, however many miles I drive in 1 year.

I chose 5000 -- as that`s what my manual says. That`s after break-in. I changed the factory fill at 1500, then 3000, 4000, and then the regular 5000.

I go about 5,000 miles or every 6 months (which ever comes first) using Castrol Syntec.

The manual for my 2005 Mazda 6 recommends every 7,500 or six months - but I couldn`t see going 7500 between oil changes.

15K per BMW Service indicator. It runs fine and there are hudredes of thousands of this engine in service since it became available and I have never heard an oil realated issue other than using the wrong oil.

rjstaaf if you don`t mind me asking, how much does it cost to have that test done.

I run Mobile 1 to about 5,000 miles.

Edit: Their website says a standard oil test is $22.50. Is that what you have done, the standard test? Thanks.

Correct it is $22.50 for the oil analysis. If you want the TBN it is $32.50.

On my truck with Amzoil I go 10,000 with a filter change at 5000....and UOA comes back saying I could go longer and all is good...

on the Honda I go 12,000 with M1 extended with a filter change at 6,000....and it runs like a top with 200.000 on it.....

I have been using pure1 and wix filters....

lol when I had a honda accord(97) I changed the oil once in 2 1/2 years. I changed it when I first bought it and never again. LOL I didn`t care too much about that car and it was my daily driver. I don`t remember how many miles got put on it when I sold it. My reasoning was that it was a honda and it would be fine. Sure enough, it was. Now its more like 4500
