I did this in the Aussie Summer yes in the 38C degree heat. The car is my parents it see the offroad and thus the 2 inch lift, reuslting in 6 inches between the roof and my garage door...so bugger all room. They are in NZ for a holiday and they have done a bit for me lately so thought I would be nice...

The paint was relatively smooth, though the swirls from improper washing and polishing were evident....

Process:

Wash Megs Gold

Wheels Wash Wolfgang

Innerguards, DP Exterior cleaner, diluted

Clay - Pinnacle Polyclay, Wolfgang lubricant

SSR2.5, with orange, good results and a bucket load of dusting, go so annoyed that I smashed the container...tried SSR1 to follow and more dusting...another container GONE...

Went to DP Mild Swirl on Orange, good results no dusting

Followed with Menzerna 85RD, my new favourite by far

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant

Aquawax spray Wax

Wheels PB Pro Polish

Tyres PB B&B

Exterior Trim PB Trim Restorer, incl side steps

Leather Seats, Pinnacle Clearner and Conditioner

Trim and Dash, 303 Protectant

Pro Polish on Chrome trim

Bowdens on Exhaust tip.

Megs NXT on Glass

Befores...now you see what I mean...

Afters!!

Still the occassonal swirl, and of coursedeep scratch but happy with the results after 8 hours and a few beers and numerous dips in the pool to cool off...

we need to get you some optimum polish or menzerna new cerimiclear line with less dusting. Great job on the car, your parents would think someone stole their car and replaced it with a new one.
