Hello All,

I just bought the Menzerna kit from Autogeek. My question is can I go directly from IP to my LSP? It appears from my testing that IP leaves a nice swirl free shine. Or do most people still hit it with FP or Zaino Z-PC before the applying sealents? My goal is to save time, but not cut corners. I really like the Menzerna products. I think my prefered product lines right now are Menzerna and Zaino.

Thanks in Advance...

Oddly enough, I just used IP for the first time this past weekend, and (because I ran out of time) went right to LSP. It was fine, although someone recently noted they notice a big difference after using FPII. I was also using a white white pad with the IP, so I`m sure that helped in staying LSP-ready.

Those are the two lines I use on the majority of cars I detail. Top of the line, IMO!

What color paint do you have? What type of car? What type of pad are you using?

The reason I ask is because IP is a pretty moderate swirl remover that is not usually used to finish down to an LSP. (Remember with Zaino you are going to want to wipe the car off with alochol first or use AIO). On a hard cleared, silver car, you might not need to finish off with anything else.

My recommendation would be to finish the car down with the IP, then tape of a section and try a section with the FP or ZP-C (both work equally well, the ZP-C allows you to go straight to Zaino application). Then compare the side you did with the FP(or ZPC ) against the side where your last step was the IP. This way you see if the surface looks better to you.

Compare them in bright, direct sunlight and see if the final polish made the appearance better to your eyes. If it did, then repeat over the whole car. If it didn`t then there is no need to polish further.

I would guess you would see a nice improvement on the final polished side, but I don`t know what your working on or what your working with.

Goodluck and try it out, there are no hard facts about detailing, just preception and experience!

I am using the IP with an Orange LC pad via PC.

Vehicles I will be working with are:

98 Corvette - Sebring Silver

05 F150 - True Blue

89 K5 Blazer - Black (PPG) Base/Clear

I also have a practice hood from a 2000`s Escort that is Blue`ish Purple.

What pad do you recommend for ZAIO?

I noticed a difference in shine going from SIP to 106FF.

I am in the middle of doing my truck with SIP 3.02 now....with a wool edge green pad..I have to say what I see is some amazing finish from it...I will finish it up with PO85RD and a white or Blue LC CCS pad...but the gloss is amazing now with WOOL...

Yeah, that blue edge wool finishes down very nicely. I just did an experiment on my car over the last couple of days. Did the whole car with 3.02 and purple foamed wool (stupid dealer wash swirled up my car). Then did one application of 106ff using the blue edge wool. Then I did the entire car with 106ff and the white wool finishing pad. The car looks like glass. Now today I`m going to go out and do half the hood with 106ff and a white LC CCS foam pad to compare to the white wool finishing pad. So far, I`m beyond pleased with the Edge wool line. I`m fully expecting that the white LC foam is not going to improve on the glassy, hologram-free finish that the blue and then white wool pads left behind. I really wish I had a black LC foam pad to use with the 106ff, cause I think that it is more comparable to the white wool than the white LC foam is.

Anyway, long story short: blue wool or white wool with 106ff will give you an amazing finish.
