Ok guys, tell me what you think.
I am detailing a Land Rover Discovery Friday. And yes, it`s black!!! The paint is in good condition (I am told), but it`s a lease turn-in and the dealer wants it to look good to sell, so here`s what I`m thinking. (I am open to change once I see it also)

I am trying the 3M products for compounding and polishing, they are kind of new to me.

Dawn wash - gently!
clay only if needed
paint cleaner maybe
3M light compound if needed
3M - dark color swirl remover - will this remove spiderwebbing if I don`t compound?
3M - Imperial hand glaze - this will really give depth and shine right?
P21S to top it all off.

I have all these in my kit and won`t have time to order new stuff from Dwayne, but please let me know what you think.
Thanks!

I can only comment on a couple of the steps.

Unless the car was detailed recently, I think you better clay it.

The 3M Imperial Hand Glaze will give you the depth. It will take forever for it to actually buff out though. I usually give up after working it in for a while and let it dry to a haze and wipe off. (does that stuff EVER buff out with a DA?) Looks great though, its sooooooooo greasy.

The P21S is a great topper for the Hand Glaze. You`ll be pleased.

Good luck on your detail. I`m looking forward to hearing how the other products work for you.

My experience with the IHG is that it likes cotton terry for removal and if you let it dry, LOOK OUT!!! I think it, like their SMR is a little difficult to work with, but produce great results.
