Can Meguiar`s #26 Mirror glaze be applied by hand? I want to be sure before I go and buy it. Thank you!

Yes, it can be applied by hand. Apply it in thin even coats though. #26 & #7 tend to streak when put on too thick.

oh one more question to anyone who has used it... How`s the durability?

It`s pretty good...kind of in between the beauty waxes and the "hard" waxes.

Durability is nice overall; 6 weeks is where it starts to drop off (this is based on a vehicle that sits outside 24/7)

i`ve read lots of post up regarding this product and it actually got a very good reviews from people who used it. it just doesn`t last long on durability just like what mglbir said above but it actually gives great look based on what I saw in Click and Brag forum. Try it!

For the price, it`s a very nice OTC wax. It goes on medium, comes off fairly easily. It doesn`t dust or stain trim. It looks very nice. But, it does really attracts dust. I think most carnauba products do? I`ve used it by hand twice.

maybe so... my car attracts dust anyway, so I think I can deal with it.lol. thanks

#26 is a very good wax.

Some people apply and buff wax with a PC, but I find doing it by hand to be the reward at the end of a detailing job.

Used it by the gallon as a professional

Good looks, good durability for a carnauba, and reasonable price

Seems to be available at every major part store, discount store, and body shop supply store that I`ve gone in

As others said, thin is important with M26. Too much will just take too long to cure and be streaky when you wipe it.

Also, it doesn`t dry chalky white like some OTC wax products you may have seen. It hazes a bit after 15-20 minutes unless it`s incredibly humid or below 60 degrees.

#26 is one of my all time favorite waxes. It looks sooo warm and durability isnt all that bad. I get about a month and a half to 2 months out of it. Im in Florida and my truck is parked outside 24/7.

You should definitely try it, it adds so much warmth to your paint.
