My question is paint has some kind of substance on it that made it rough. It doesn`t seem to be in the paint because it will come off if I scrape it with my fingernail. It is also on my sunroof and some windows. I believe it is over spray from my neighbor sanding his garage door and using spray gun to respray Polyurethane. Some advise on how to go about getting this off safely. It has been on the car for alittle over a week and it is getting HOT out.

I haven`t tried anything as of yet but simple washes with car soap.

Try some detailing clay. Any local auto parts store should carry a clay kit like Clay Magic, Meguiar`s, or Mothers.

Clay it off as quickly as possible, the longer that stuff sits, the harder it is to get off.
