2007 Chevy Silverado. Owned by a friend of one of my regulars. He`d noticed how good her Mustang looks in the sun and wanted his truck to look the same. The paint wasn`t too bad actually, more drying streaks than actual spider swirls. That`s the price you pay when you only want to pop for an $11 tunnel wash, I guess.

I used Optimum Compound with green Edge Cyclo polishing pads, then Off White Moose (I dropped my bottle of Pink Moose and cracked it at the top so I poured some into a 2/3rds full bottle of Vanilla Moose, giving it an off white color) again using green Edge pads. I followed with Carnauba Moose by hand.

2004 Infiniti G35. Probably the last time I will see this one, since this detail was to get it ready for sale. Not sure what he will get next. Overall it was in really good shape but it had some overspray on the horizontal surfaces that required claying. I then used off white Moose (as described above) and a white LC polishing pad clean up the paint and topped with Poorboy`s Natty`s Blue.

There were thunderstorms just to the north and east, so only some sun in the last two shots. I had my fingers crossed the whole the storms would move away from us, luckily they did.

2007 Mustang GT California Special. I waxed it a few weeks ago with Pinnacle Souveran (which was over a 6 week old application of Optimum`s Opti-Seal). With all the rain we`ve been having, the owner asked me to wax it again. I decided to try Opti-Seal again to see how it works over Souveran. It basically seems to intensify the depth and wetness so if it holds up well, I`ll be pretty happy.

Most of it is in the aftermarket fenders, the rest of the car is actually pretty good. Oh well, off to detail a Windstar in the rain. My customer just called and said it was a go since they know I am really backed up due to the weather and don`t want to wait a month for me to get it rescheduled. :grinno:

Haha have fun...I really like the sandwhich approach with opti-seal. The Mustang paint really looks amazing in all aspects.

Scott, do you typically cover a wax with Opti-Seal? If you do, can you get the same life out of the Opti?? Or is this something new you`ve decided to try?

POST 200!!! :woot:

I`m partial to the Mustang. It looks fantastic!

Not to hijack the thread, but what exactly does the California Special get you? Is it just a different trim package that gets you a different bumper and/or wheels?

Edit: Never mind. I found the specs on the California Special. Thanks.

Wow! Amazing job! That G35 looks like I could stick my hand into the paint and it would dissapear. No joke!
