Hello ladies and gentleman! I am here with my 2nd Click and Brag, bringing 3 cars to the showcase!

Up first is a 2003 Lexus IS300 in Silver. The owner purchased it three weeks ago, used with 140K KMs. Very nice car; 5 spd tranny with LSD (yummy!). I was very pressed for time as I had planned with the owner to keep the car overnight to spread out the intensity of the work, but he called me a day before and asked that I have the car ready that night. So being as accommodating as I can, I said sure.

I started at 2:30pm, and finished at 1am. Without the help of Paul (aka. "Ben Kenobi" - username) this would have pushed me further past till perhaps 3am. So with that said, I`d like to make a HUGE shoutout to him for coming out and assisting me in this project!!!

But enough blabbering, on to some pics I say!!!

Process:

- Wash with Meg`s GC

- Clay (including rims)

- Wash again (man this car was FILTHY!)

- Dry with WW MF

- OP/OC and meg`s #2 mix, 40:40:20 respectively, with orange pad, PC @ 6 (no duh! lol)

- I can not remember what Paul used, but he did most of his work with a rotary using orange Edge wave pads

- tail lights got AIO I think too. Not sure on that as Paul did them.

- Sealed with DP spray sealant

- Windows got Klasse AIO

- Tires got Eagle1

This OP/OC/#2 combo deserves mention again. I was stunned at how well this worked, as was Paul.

I didn`t get very good pics of the afters, or even the befores for that matter as time was a big issue. I was able to get some nice ones as I chatted with the owner and his friends who were floored at how nice the car looked.

The owner is coming back for wetsanding on his headlights and fogs, as you can tell they are much needed!

Up next is another IS300, but from 2002, with only 45K KM’s, also in 5spd with LSD. But the key difference here was the colour. This was a flat red called Absolute Red, and boy was it ever red! As I was rinsing the car, the water running off the car looked like blood!

I sincerely enjoyed this car as the colour was very rewarding.

The owner had a bird dropping on his hood and panicked to take it off. He used a water bottle and a terry cloth and did some pretty bad damage. The scratches were very deep, and required a possible repaint in that area (if wetsanding could not fix it). I told him I could do what I can to reduce the visibility, but eventually he would have to look into other alternatives. He asked for a full compound and polish on the hood and trunk, and so he got it!

Process:

Wash with Meg’s GC + a little turtle wax car shampoo (crazy foam!!!)

Clay on trunk and hood

I tried a 50/50 mix of OP and OC, then I reduced the OC and added a little #2 and started getting better results that were LSP ready. Used a PC @ 6 with yellow pad.

Topped with #26 with PC @ 3 with grey finishing pad.

Tires got Simoniz tire foam (this stuff is actually pretty good!) and then before the final pics, I added Eagle 1 Tire shine.

The owner was shocked, and to be honest so was I, this colour was absolutely gleaming.

And lastly, a 2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS in Silver. The heat yesterday was intense so it took me a long time to finish this job as I kept taking breaks to stay fed and hydrated.

I shampooed the interior, and did a wash, clay, wax, and engine detail (forgot to take pics).

As I went to get my foam applicators, I accidentally hit the box, and they all fell on the ground, so this customer got Poli-Seal instead. After seeing the results, I’m glad my applicators fell on the ground. Poli-Seal did an amazing job on this car.

Very nice work man, very nice. You are doing some pretty pro work there!

I wonder how your hands feel after all that time with the PC?

That red lexus looks soooooo wet!

thanks for the compliments Jim. My hands don`t feel too good to be honest, and my shoulders feel a bit tense from the vibrations. I did make an observation regarding the PC vibrations though; if you put the handle on, but don`t hold it, it reduces the amount of vibration you feel. It isn`t much, but it is something to make note of IMO.

It was a pleasure to help you out Kaval. I know we were both very pleased how the IS300 turned out as it was quite bad. I did use the Edge 2000 wave pads, as the scratches were numerous I started out with a yellow foam pad and 1Z MP. I found this was taking too long to cut even with going to PP so I switched to the orange foam. This worked well and gave the results we were looking for. The tail lights and side markers were also done with this combo.

The glass was polished by PC with a polishing pad and Klasse AIO. Final cleanup was with IG. Went over the tail and side marker lights with the PP as they were quite scratched. Rubber trim was treated also. It was a long night but worth it!

thanks for the comments. The Poli-Seal did an excellent job on the silver!

Question though, what`s the working time for poli-seal? Mine broke down fairly quickly, in comparison to OP or OC... maybe i was working it in too fast?

how much do you charge for something like that , or do you have a price list for it?
