Detailed was completed on Saturday. Car was dropped off at my house at 9 am and I finished at roughly 7pm as the sun was tucking down for the night. Car was in rough shape thanks to a local detail shop that left buffer trails EVERYWHERE. Luckily they weren’t too deep and the paint was not too hard to correct.

Final Process:

Wash and Clay.

Wheels cleaned with Meg’s Wheel Brightener 2:1 with appropriate brushes and mitts.

Menzerna SIP with orange cut pad @ 1800rpms (Trunk and Hood x2)

Menzerna 106FF with blue finesse pad @ 1800-1500rpms

Re-washed

LSP = IW845 by hand

Clear bra protected with Plexus

Tires dressed with Z16

Interior: (I forgot to take any pics! :( )

Vacummed, Lexol Cleaner on all, Leather dressed with Z10 and vinyl treated with 303.

Here are two pics of the hood before I started the wash:

So GOOD! The G35 is Such a hot car and the lines it has makes them look so freaking dripping wet when they are all polished up. Great job.

gota question...do you tape up every section youre about to polish on ever vehicle you use your rotary on? i can imagine i probably helps you section everything off appropriately.

I tape off trim for the purpose of not hitting it with the buffer. Also when polishing dust gets on trim its hard to get out. The tape in the middle of panels is just for the purpose of before/after pics.

I typically do not get request for certain LSP`s. I went with Collinite IW845 for this particular vehicle since its pretty much a daily driver. 845 will provide good durability and still has a clear wet look to it.

I just can`t believe people are taking their cars to local detail shop only to pay to have THAT kind of work done! Oh well, I cant` complain too much since they keep me in business.
