Ok, I found this little Neon on the side of the road in some guys driveway. Had a FOR SALE sign in the window, so I call him up, drive it, and offer him $700, to my suprise he takes it.

He explained that about a year ago he got a divorce, and on his birthday he woke up and walked out to the Neon and his Ex had SPRAY PAINTED, "Happy Birthday Fu__er" on the car. he hurried to get it up, and used whatever he could. Well now the paint is scratched all to he11 and back. I looked at at and it does not look like he scrubbed down to the metal at al, but he seriously screwed up his clearcoat. I went aafter it with the SONUS SFX1 and pad, and got ok results, but there are still ALOT of scratches that do not show up in these pics.

My question is what can I use to get all of these scratches out? They are allover the hood, and the passenger front door. I spent about 10 minutes on this one strip in the middle, and used ALOT of the SFX-1 on it, now I am out, and I need to know what to buy to fix this!!!

PICS BELOW!

THIS PIC shows you the BEST of what I am going up against, and what I have accomplished so far....not much.

This definitely is a job where the rotary would save you a significant amount of time and frustration.

I gues I dont know the difference between a rotary and a PC...

At any rate a PC is what I have, and what I have a little experience using!:help:

IMHO this is a perfect situation for ultra-fine sandpaper - 3000 grit the whole car lightly, and take it out with a PC/yellow pad or rotary.

I went to napa, and advanced and autozone looking for 3000 grit, and found nothing...where can I get some?

It looks like the guy used 1000 grit to get the paint off imho.

Rent a rotary, and get a compound and machine glaze.
