It was 19 months ago when we detailed the exterior:

Duramax detail. (http://autopia.org/forum/click-brag/64332-gmc-2500-duramax.html?highlight=GMC)

Since then the garage queen has not seen many miles (15k total.)

All Mike wanted was the leather cleaned and conditioned.

I started out doing the interior.

Vac

Wipe down rubber mats with 777 APC 1:10.

1Z Cockpit Premium on all trim.

Z9/10 on leather.

Glass cleaned with IG.

First time for me using the 1Z CP, it has a good cleaning ability and leaves the prefect amount of gloss (or lack of.) I love the low gloss look. I used it on the Nav screen and the instrument plastic. Thanks to Lee and Bret for bringing this great product to our attention.

Now Mike always keep the garage queen pretty nice as you can see in this before pic:

But you can see the leather is pretty dry:

Exterior

No polishing and only Z8 applied every few months after a proper wash by Mike.

The hood has some light water spots that will require a polish. We will do that another time.

I can`t believe I didn`t get a before shot of the entire truck. It really still looked great.

QEW wash

Z6 wipedown

CS

Z8

Tires got Z-16

Hard to make out the water spots on the hood and the very minimal marring:

Bryan even your quick cleanups rival some of the "pro" work I see.

Beautiful as ever. :up

Excellent work, paint looks wet and glossy.

Just goes to show how proper washing techniques can keep a car looking great without polishing for years.

Nice job :)

Thanks guys! Mike really takes care of his rides.

He also has this sweet ride (http://autopia.org/forum/click-brag/77814-1969-camaro-rs-ss-glacier-blue-polished-finished-w-z2pro-56k-maybe.html) that is the real garage queen. I doubt if it will need anything for a few years. :)
