How can I remove scratches from the wood trim and wood steering wheel on a 2005 Porsche Cayenne..I think the gloss over the wood is just a clearcoat...should I try a swirl remover ? Would my pc be too much for it?

Yes you can use the same stuff on that as you do on your paint.

I once used dedicated plastic cleaners and polishes for this kind of stuff, but no longer. I now know, if it is going to work on clearcoat paint, it works almost the same on clear plastic.

You may want to try scratchx, or heck you could just fill them in, seeing as it is not going to rain on your steering wheel a filler may be good here, like CG acrylic glaze.

Or you could go with a combo of fill and remove with clearkote VMHG.
