Which LSP`s are the best at repelling dust? My new job is in a very dusty area and my truck looks filthy all the time.

Dust will accumulate regardless of what LSP you use.

Z-CS seems to work.

Try using an antistatic QD after washing. I`m very happy with CG Pro Detailer Carnauba and Synthetic Detailer :bow

There really isn`t anything that will "repel" dust so to speak in they way they try to make it sound at least. If you`re on a dusty work site and dust is coming down, nothing on your cars finish will magically push it away from landing on it. A good finish will help you get the dust off without scratching your finish up.

If you try this QD I wrote you will notice less dust.

Thanks Maesal, I`ll try that. Yeah, I should have asked which LSP attracts dust the least. Seems like some products are dust maganets. I love Collinite but it loves dust!

I think the main problem is the static electricity created when you remove (buff) the wax or sealant. After that, I think it doesn`t matter what LSP you have.

Ever since I used Z-6, Z-8, and Z-CS. I`ve had less dust settle on my car.

Is Zaino the same stuff they use to clear stopped up commodes and drains ?

non oily sealants like Zaino or klasse will repel dust in my opinion better than a carnuba product. it`s a trade off though, you always sacrafice on thing for another, but if dust or durabilty is your main concerns, then I`d give these products a try.

I noticed Collinite attracted a more than usual amount of dust. An hour after I detailed my wife`s car I was embarrased to show it off because of all the dust it attracted.

FK1 425 is probably your best bet to top whatever LSP your using. AquaWax works good to.

Additonally, when you using MF and apply sprays or wipedowns, they tend to create alot of static electricity on the paint surface itself (or so it seems IME). So, give your car a sheeting rinse after you apply a product like FK1 425 and blot up the water or dry it with air (compressor, leaf blower, etc.). HTH.
