Brought the Z out of its winter slumber last month and did a few "standard" details. Last weekend, I decided to break out the as-yet unused PC and polishes and go to town on the car! Didn`t have time for too many steps and extensive polishing wasn`t needed so I kept it simple. Engine bay and interior did not need to be detailed either.
Process:
ONR
Mother`s Clay (w/ ONR lube)
70%/30% RMG/FPII Combo via PC using blue Edge pad
S100 by hand.
Except for ONR and RMG, rest were all new products for me (incl. PC). I was delighted with Mothers clay`s ease of use. I had used Meg`s grey clay some years back and that had turned rock solid in my hand almost immediately after I touched it to the surface. The experience put me off clays until now. Mothers was a genuine pleasure to use; I am a believer!
Loved the RMG/FPII combo as well. Applied at speed 4. It did not dust at all and was very easy to buff off.
S100 went on like butter, much like NB does. I like the intense look it gave. I will be topping it with CMW tomorrow.
Pictures:
I did a formal photoshoot right after the detail was complete. These were taken anywhere from a few hours before sunset to an hour after sunset. No before pics as all the surface had on it was dust.
