After reading this thread: http://autopia.org/forum/click-brag/91560-some-bad-halograms-v-2002-z06.html it reminded of some work that I did the other day.

The owner bought the car off of ebay and it was delivered in the rain. :wall The car was absolutely hammered! Every panel was covered in severe buffer swirls, scratches, etc.

I was limited on correction because the owner didn`t really want to spend a fortune to have it reconditioned. Perfection would have called for twisted wool and then a trip down the ladder of polishing steps.

I did what I could for the money and SIP *really* impressed me.

:wow: That is very impressive! What is the cut of TOL`s green pad like?

I think I have to order some SIP. There goes my wallet getting lighter :wall

It definitely has more cut than the green foam offered by CMA(can`t speek for AG as I don`t own any of their green CCS pads) and not as durable. It also doesn`t finish as well, which is to be expected with the increased cut. It`s much more stiff and the "cells" are larger--more open if you will.

Hah, glad I inspired you to post this; that`s some fantastic correction given you weren`t going for "perfect". Interesting LSP process too.

WOW. They almost wrote their names in cursive writing. Very nice correction.

Something i never understood.

How do these hack detailers do so much damage and not see it? Then how is it possible the customer not blow a lid when they see it?

Ive corrected 7 vehicles so far with holograms just like those.

I`m betting we`ve all asked ourselves that question 1,000 times. When I was doing that vette yesterday I said over and over, "who would *pay* for a job like this?". It`s boggling.

I could never get away with it, my customers would see them instantly.

Great work! All the bad car washes in the world coundn`t have swirled it as bad as that "detailer" did!
