Some cars have life time factory wax based rust proof on several hidden areas. The owners manual, in case of my 1992 MB, recommends against after market rust proof due to compatibility problem (after market rust proof may remove factory wax based rust proof).

Turtle Wax Liquid Clay Bar contains chemical cleaners to dissolve road grime and wax. This runny fluid will flow into the door (rain drops also go into the inside of the door even with the window closed) and many hidden areas during application and rinsing.

Does Turtle Wax Liquid Clay Bar dissolve factory rust proof coating?

I assume you`re in reference to a wax "flowcoat" type undercoating.

Considering the general reviews its gotten I don`t forsee any chance of it taking it off. Gasoline, kerosene, brake cleaner and other strong chemical solvents will remove the wax flowcoat; but again, ICE won`t be that strong, especially as you rinse it.

Does Turtle Wax Liquid Clay Bar dissolve factory rust proof coating?

I highly doubt it. I tried that thing yesterday and in my case it was not strong enough to even clean away contamination I had on the paint.
