hate getting home and finding out your favorite pics didnt turn out but im gonna post it anyhow, i would have taken pics of the sl 500 but they wanted a one step, (waterspots still remain as do swirl marks, other than that what an impressive ride that is)

i didnt take any befores again, too bad too, there was about a pint of white latex paint on the passenger side bottom doors and fenders. removed it with a plastic razor blade and tarminator.

i polished this thing entirely with a 4 inch pad. op via orange then op via white 70-30 rmg.

nice ride though. the owner is good friends with elliot sadler, as he is from these parts, which is why he did not want the sticker or the dealer badge removed.

oh yeah, i admit i was improperly using op, love the stuff, there was significant water etching on this caddy, and either it wasnt etched too deep or op via orange is one bad water spot removing combo.

Wow, looks good. I really can`t imaging going over it with a 4" pad though.

yep 4" the whole thing. i can see why the cyclo is so effective now. i started with the hood and it went so smooth i just kept going with it. the water spots and swirls were so easily removed i have got to think a 4 inch pad @ speed 6 is close to as aggresive as a rotary @ low rpm. i have one hellova sunburn but i enjoyed polishing w/spot pad and op today.

it really does bug me sometimes to see a truck like this with the same exact rough *** orange peel paint. you can all clearly see how bad the peel is, i wouldnt feel comfortable trying to sell him a wetsand, but that truck should look better than that. IMO

Did you polish the chrome grill? If so, with what?

yes i did, i don`t think its chrome though, i think its polished aluminum. polished all metal with wenol followed by prime by hand.

oh btw i somehow misplaced my other backing plates, a 5-6 inch pad doesnt seem to have the same behavior with a spot pad bp.
