:werd: I have a Monte Carlo with a rear plastic bumber that got smashed. the result ended in a sort of flaked paint. cracked. flexed but returned to normal. . used isoprol alcohal to remove wax. then used a paint thinner wuickly then wiped ,which broke down paint around the area , filling it in. followed up with polish, wax, and the a sealant. looks new... is this safe? it seems to easy. just trying to sell the car. but are there consequens?

paint thinner wouldnt usualy touch modern oem paint, maybe you struck lucky and had some kind of repaint that would soften up

If paint thinner moved your paint then this def. is not factory paint but a repaint. My bet is gas or any other solvent would eat through this paint if not careful
