Hey guys, I was wondering where I could purchase a paint thickness gauge? Something affordable. I found one online for $50.00 but this is not electronic. I don`t need one to be electronic, just something to use every now and then. Are there any stores that sell them locally or is this a product that is usually exclusive to online retailers?

If you have any information on this topic, please let me know. Thanks.

Preferably a pocket sized gauge. The one I pulled up was not digital and had an accuracy of 1 mil and could range from 1 to 15 mil. I`m not sure if I`m allowed to post the link, but I will if I`m allowed to.

Thanks

kindof wonder this myself. All though $50 sounds real cheap.

I was wondering about the paint guages myself. However, I was thinking of going down to the local body shop and asking them if I could rent it for detail days?

Wondering if thats possible. I`m pretty much going to use it on my car before I buy it from the dealership to make sure no damage was done to the body panels.
