I have a black, 2007 Mazdaspeed 3. Paint is in good shape, aside form the usual chips from a DD. I spent last weekend learning how to use Optimum Compound, which was a pretty big learning curve coming from only using the SSR line. OC will work down FOREVER and I can`t stand the dusting of the SSR`s now (but I still love the job they do)! I think that was my biggest hurdle, knowing when the OC was broken down completely. After the OC (on orange pad via PC), I used Pink Moose, but it still looks like I have a little bit of hazing. Was the PM good enough to use after the OC, or would it be smarter to use a separate finishing polish (OP or Menzerna FP, for example) then just follow that with straight red moose?
Also, to me the Mazda paint seemed extremely soft - like If I breathed on it hard it would scratch. Is this typical of Mazda paint?
