Part II of my w/e detail at my brothers in Ohio.

01 Silver X5 with 95k miles.

Before:

Washed car with dawn, scrubbed wheel well and tires also with dawn.

Wheels got the last of the poorboys SnR.

Clayed with Z-18, lots of tar on the front, rear and lower panels.

Washed again w/ Z7.

Those steps took us about 1.5hrs.

Brought it inside and put it under the lights, every time I detail this car I have a hard time finding any swirls on the paint.

So I gave it a quick ZPC polish with white CCS pad rotary 1400. Polished the entire surface of the SUV and then wiped off the polish after. As usual ZPC wipes off very easy.

Applied ZAIO via PC6 white LC pad. Work it in on the entire vehicle till it disappears into the paint. Also applied to glass and window trim. Removed with MF. Brother applied ZAIO to the wheels with a cotton app.

Applied 1x of Z2pro:

55 mins to apply/remove both ZAIO and Z2pro:

The roads dried up enough from sat`s rain so we took the X5 to dinner.

Sunday am I did a Z6 wipedown and applied some CS. It was about 50° out with a cool breeze blowing. CS still dried in under 20 mins after I applied it in the garage.

I am doing a detail on an X5 this weekend in the same Ti AG color.

I also have a hard time seeing swirls on this car. I was thinking of skipping the Z-PC since I dont actually have any and going straight to the Z-AIO....

Any thoughts?

Also thinking of using the Werkstatt line instead Prime Strong followed by AJ-T and topping with Z-8

Any thoughts or preferences for this car??

I think starting with ZAIO will work fine. I did ZAIO and Z2pro on this silver grand prix (http://autopia.org/forum/click-brag/87780-silver-grand-prix-quick-zaino-job-exterior-only.html?highlight=grand)
