I have PP followed by 3 coats of EX-P on my Silver Cobra Vert. It look`s great but wondering if I start using VM over the top of the EX-P if it would give it anymore wettness or pop ? or will it remove my PB EX-P I would try it but if it will remove my EX-P then I don`t want to try it.

Kinda dumb ? , but was just wondering what other experiences were.

To the best of my knowledge the Vm would remove the exp. That was my understanding of any glaze over a sealent or a wax. HTH

VM is supposed to have cleaners. When i use it on single stage paint, the paint comes off on the applicator, so I think it`s correct to say that anything else on the paint would come off too.

You could use Meg`s #7 or #81, niether of which have cleaners or abrasives.

The solvents in VM will remove just about anything you apply it over.

I asked that same question in an e-mail to Everet @ Clearkote last year and the answer was, yes, VM will remove sealants and carnuba layers.

So best to use VM after removing swirls, scratches, etc. then go to your LSP.

Hope this helps.

I use the VM after PP and before the EX-P or UPP. I can`t say that this improves wetness/pop because I have never applied wither sealent without the VM first. But given the nature of VM, I think it would. You should give it a try.

VM + EX-P is a beautiful thing...may be worth a try.
