I`m new here, but I have searched to try to find the answer to my question. My car is way overdue for a good detail and had cleared my weekend last week to do the works on it: clay, SFX-1, SFX-2, seal, wax (P21S). Sadly, a guy merged in on me and banged up my 1/4 panel a bit and it`s going to have to have some paint work done and will probably be blended up to my door.
My question is, should I go ahead and do my detail job now and just not worry about the damaged area, or should I wait until after it is painted.
My 2nd question to this is, assuming I should do it now, how long do I need to wait after the painting is done to hit that area with an equal treatment.
