I have seen Stoners-"Tarmiantor" used with varying levels of success. Ive noticed also the trick for me seems to be to let it sit for 5-10 minutes and then WASH the areas where it was applied rather than trying to scrub with a towel. especially with dead bugs and tar. hope this helps

I just removed dried asphalt on my white jeep liberty. Both on the paint and plastic areas. On the paint and plastic bumbers I used KAIO. It worked great for me. In the wheel well, I tried mineral spirits from others suggestions. IMHO, I would advise caution when using any cleaning product that strong. My wheel well is plastic and it discolored it. I also found using a plastic knife worked great to remove tar from plastic surfaces. Just don`t use the serrated edge.
