Today was a clients 2002 Chevy 2500HD that he uses as a work/junk truck. He called me and told me to "do what needs to be done" to the thing to make it purdy. I arrived at 5:30 and saw that the truck was trashed, but it looked fun. Took me about 3 hours to finish the truck, and 1hr of that was just washing and powerwashing! All in all, a great day that ended with a cool detail that turned out really good. I love details like this b/c it looks soo much better, and is a huge improvement over the pre-detailed truck.

On this one I used,

Interior

Vacume, blow debris w/compresser

Carpets with woolite/hot water 5:1

Dash/plastics/etc with Purple Power 10:1 and Majestic Solutions Blue Dressing

Wiped door jambs

Glass with IG

Exterior

Powerwash all mud off

Wash with Duragloss CWC and Purple Power

Buff with PC white pad @6 with Color-X

John Deere detail spray

IG on glass/chrome

Majestic solutions Blue Dressing on tires/wells/trim

Befores

Nice turnaround, 3 hours. I missed it in the thread but did you do any polishing?

Nevermind, just reread.

How did the ColorX do via the pc. Did it remove any of the swirls?

Color-X actually removed it`s fair share of swirls, I would say about 60%. I was pleased with it.

Very nice!

At least they were smart enough to use Husky Liners in the floor. They really do a good job keep it clean.

Nice work.............fast too! I like!

Yeah, one of the reasons for it being so fast is that I did not have to do any carpet cleaning b/c of the mats.

I`m suprised you were able to remove 60% of the swirls with color x. I just detailed my first newer model chevy truck(06 work truck model) and it was also white and wasnt even swirled that bad and it took multiple passes with Optimum Compound and a 5.5 In. light cutting pad to get it to 90% swirl free.
