Well, it`s done. 8 hours of labor with an hour of good help from my girl.

Background: It only has 35,000 miles on it but it seems like it has 200,000.

Payment: $110 It is a family truck and is my late grandfather`s. Normal charge would be $225.

Process: (Exterior)

Wash with NXT and APC+ 10:1 in some areas. White Shmitt on some areas, black wheel shmitt in others. 2 bucket method with pressure washer.

Front end I use a combo of Stoner`s tarminator and Megs Body Solvent, really worked quite well with the black wheel shmitt. I also used this method on the bottom of the rear bumper behind the wheels.

Running boards I used DP`s Gel wheel cleaner since they were an uncoated aluminum.

Wheels received Megs Wheel Bright 4:1, tires Purple power 1:1, and fender wells.... well, they pretty much got everything I had (tarminator, APC+, body solvent, purple power, Armor All tire cleaner, etc.)

Tires dressed with Megs Hot shine Gel

Windows cleaned with DP`s Krystal Vision

Wheels polished with #0000 steel wool and Mother`s chrome polish. Also use this method on front bumper and rear bumper. Running boards also polished this way.

Side mirrors receive Klasse AIO used as a cleaner.

Front windshied polished with #0000 steel wool and Klasse AIO, followed by AIO on Blue edge pad via PC speed 5.5

All exterior black trim received 303 Protectant

Engine:

Cleaned with DP Engine cleaner on parts, and Purple Power 1:1 on others. Scrubbed with Megs Wheel brush.

Dressed with Zep All Around

Paint Polish:

Hood got XMT4 and yellow Edge pad via PC speed 6, followed by Edge orange and OP speed 6. Yea, it took about 45 min. I pretty much ran out of time, so I went ahead and used XMT 360 via PC Green pad for the rest of the truck. I mainly used it as a cleaner and it worked very very well.

Followed this with Edge orange pad and Pink Moose speed 5.

Semi-worked it in to clean the paint more. dDd the entire truck then buffed off.

Followed this with Souveran Paste.

Interior:

WOW! It was DIRTY!! Used APC+ 10:1 on the entire interior. On the floor mat I used a Black shmitt and just cleaned it like it was part of the truck. Dried with an old bath towel.

I tried some NXT Tire foam on some areas of the floor mat, didn`t really do anything for me. So, I went with some 303 protectant. Holy crap, I have a new favorite interior dressing for semi-gloss looks. I usually use Optimum Protectant, which I love, but gives an extremely matte finish.

I also used 303 on the floormat.

Seats received Megs Leather cleaner/conditioner.

DG Oder removal and in air vents

Now for ALL the pics!!

It worked pretty well. After buffing off, I was like, eh, nothing spectacular. But after following with OP, wow, it really brought out the shine and such.

Great work! Serious turnaround.

Are the wheels uncoated aluminum too? If so, did the wheel brightener stain them at all?

Don`t forget under the bench seat :D :bolt
