Gah, ok so I just wetsanded this area on my hood with 2000 unigrit sangpaper that I bought from Autozone. I thought that my Edge Yellow pad and my Optimum Compound would be able to remove the wetsand marks but the marks will NOT budge! I have wetsanded before, and I was able to remove the marks from a different car, but on my Acura RSX, the marks will NOT remove... What is going on?

I`m really not that much of an expert on wetsanding, but why don`t you step up to 2500 or 3000 grit??? Be careful though, don`t take off too much clear :nervous2:

Do you have any HyperCompound? It even works using a green 6" Edge pad, although a littel slow. Do you have a 4" yellow? That should work with OC.

I`d finish with a lighter grit paper and go in the opposite direction. When I finished in 2000 grit on my Talon I followed with HTHC and it removed about 90% of the marks. I didn`t have HTEC at the time so I jumped to 3000 and then the marks were easily removed. This was on a repaint though so there was plenty of clear (and orange peel).

Wool pad might work.

Where are you in FL? If you can drop by my place in Palm Bay, I can knock it out in 5-10 minutes. No charge.
