I was contacted to do a few Big Rigs. (minus the flatbed trailers) Just wash. They are concerned about the aluminum parts and gas tanks. Wanting them cleaned. Someone mentioned acid wash?

I need a product that will melt the grime away from the aluminum.

I also need a recommendation on a product as a pre-soak to get the good part of the crud off.

Here are a few pics.....

Any advice would be appreciated!

Edit..... I am not looking for a "Boutique" product. I want something that works and not a re-label product with a jacked up price......:up

Check with some boat dealers. I can`t recall the name but there was a product they sprayed on nasty pontoons that made them bright again.

Tex, Eagle One produces an etching wheel cleaner...it`s either ABF- or HF-based. Strong stuff, caution and gloves must be used. I`ve had some luck with it on uncoated aluminum. It can leave the metal looking too white. Experiment on a small area to ensure it`s not going to make a mess.

Available at Advance Auto Parts.

Looking for a wash. Not going to polish the tanks.

I have a wheel cleaner with HF, and I tried in a small, hidden spot. It turned it white. Plus with the risks of using HF anyways, I will pass on anything with HF in it. Not worth my health for some money.

As far as a wash, you might want to try a KAIO. It works very good on cleaning alluminum.

EaCo Chem`s Sabre comes to mind... I`m not sure where to get it right now though but I think they have a distributor network. You can call them at 800-313-8505 to ask.
