Hello guys..

I`ve been reading and getting inspired to clean my car. I`m currently a student that goes to school in downtown Miami, which every building is under construction. I want to get tips to help clean my car the right way and be able to know what i`m doing. I still haven`t purchased anything and was wondering if you guys can tell me what would be a good purchase to make for a daily driver car.

I`m looking for a car wash kit / polishing & waxing kit...

Thanx guys.

**By the way sorry for the blurry pictures..I will take some more tomorrow.**

It looks like you need to start with some touch-up paint

You want to do this by hand or buy a Porter Cable machine? The machine will run about $250 with pads but does a much better job. By hand takes longer and usuaolly doesnt work as well. First get the VIN and get some touch up paint. The vin is used to got the color or go to the body sticker (usually in the door jamb) and get the paint code. Try google for the "pontiac paint code __" and see what you get.

Read, read, read on what works for what kind of problems. You may want to first find some hand chemicals that will also work with a machine and try them by hand first.

Good luck

From what I can see and I am not sure what I am seeing is truely what I am seeing. It looks like you might be better off just getting the fender repainted. IF you dont repaint. You can touch up but make sure you sand the surface down. Reason being is it looks like you have rust and that can be nasty! Am I seeing rust or am I just got the 14 page paper eyes are tired blues right now?

But either way for GM, and your W-Body the paint code should be on your trunk lid. It should have a number and a U after it. That will be your paint code. For my monte my said eg. 71U. That was my paint code. Good luck.

Can`t really tell what i`m looking at in the pics cause they`re so blurry, but if you just want something to wash, polish and wax your car with, here`s a few suggestions.

Car Wash

5gal bucket w/DuraSeal lid and dolly

Grit Guard

Microfiber wash mitt

Meguiar`s NXT car wash

Polish

Pinnacle XMT 360

Wax

ClearKote Carnauba Moose Wax

S100

Porter Cable 7424 for the polishing/waxing

Lake Country CCS pads

Tire dressing

Street Appeal Professional Tire Shine

Glass cleaner

Stoner`s Invisible Glass

That`s pretty much the basic, entry level stuff that should get you going. Hope that helps.
