This is a picture of the engine bay when I just bought the car. After spraying with orange degreaser, brushing lightly and spraying with a water hose, I got it to look like the picture again. But you can see the valve cover isn`t as clean as the intake or the heatshield, especially between the plug wires. What do you recommend I do with those tougher parts?

metal polish.

i use nevr dull alot ^^ seeing as it`s a wadding-type polish, i can just get a small amount, and shove it on my finger tip which will let me get into small places (like in between the plug wires) with ease.

Neothin, thanks for the tip, can I get never dull at autozone? Is it going to make the parts that I polish look shinier than the rest or just back to very clean? I want to avoid doing everything in order to even out the look :)

Autozone, advanced auto, wal-mart, target (used to not sure if they still do), etc.

For the textured (cast) metal it should just clean them up and not make them super shiny. As long as you don`t polish forever you are not going to make them look really bright, especially by hand.

nice MR2 BTW. :up

I bought nevr dull and tried to clean the valve cover. After spending about half an hour, I saw some improvement but many spots remained and seemed like it was impossible to take them out. In one spot, I think I buffed hard enough that it started to become shiney but the spots were still there. Any tips on this?
