Use hose to wash off water-never would have believed it

I don`t know where i first heard of this: Use the hose without a sprayer to "wash off water." Might have been the Mike/Richard two bucket video. Anyway, the idea is to let the hose run onto the wet vehicle lightly which will result in less water, therefore less drying. I had the black Acura out today trying to wash it btween pollen dumps, so what the hey, let`s try this. The car was completely washed. Water beaded up all over the place. I took the sprayer off and gave it a shot, just let the water dribble out of the hose onto the car.



I was amazed. The lack of pressure took a tremendous amount of water off the car leaving it much less `beady` than before. It basically broke up the beading altogether. I then dried it with a MF WW towel, and it took only ONE towel. Normally I would expect to use two or three on this car.



So it does work!

Sorry to change topics a little, but I wash and rinse with a pressure washer and sometimes I blow the water off with the sideways cutting pressure of the gun. It leaves a very fine mist of water that quickly and easily dries with a towel.

i like to use the fireman nozzle turned all the way and it does a good job sheeting/flooding the water off, making drying alot easier.
